We frequently get phone calls from clients who have run quality issues and ask our opinion on how to rid their British car of these pesky problems. 

This kit is our answer. 

We’ve made this kit as a base kit with additional items a la carte to fit your specific needs, but our best running car incorporates all of the items in this kit.

The base kit includes the following:
– HS2 Carburetors
– K&N Lifetime Air Filters
– #3 (slightly richer) Spring Needles 

The additional items that we recommend (and you can chose a la carte above) include:
– A header – if you have a stock 948 manifold with a heat riser (a square plate on top of the manifold), then the HS2 carburetor manifold will not fit with your exhaust manifold and you will need to swap it to either a different manifold without a heat riser or a header (our recommendation).
– A manifold mounting kit for new mounting hardware and a new gasket. 
– A new Pertronix electronic distributor – the original distributor has points, a condenser and a rotor. The points need to be properly adjusted in order for the distributor to operate properly (which most of the time, they are not). The distributor body can also wear causing inconsistent performance. We like to bypass all of these hardships with an electronic unit. This distributor IS POLARITY SENSITIVE so be sure to select the proper polarity. This distributor also comes with new spark plug wires. 
– A premium ignition coil – this is the same coil we use on all of our builds in house.
– A clear fuel filter which we recommend to mount in the engine bay near the carburetors. This way you can easily inspect the quality of the fuel your carbs are receiving, and replace it in a snap if needed.
– A set of spark plugs
