One of the most basic elements on a Bugeye that we see done incorrectly quite frequently is properly fastening the battery so it cannot move. If the battery jostles while driving, it can make contact with other components, short and ultimately catch fire. This battery hold down is a very economic and easy piece of insurance to to install on your car.
This bar is the correct original Bugeye hold down, therefore, use this on concours applications or if you want the most accurate restoration. We also sell another British hold down bar that is not technically correct, but it’s stronger. If you’re wanting j-hooks and the hardware to secure the battery hold down, we sell a kit for that, too!
