Felt Oil Seal for 948 Engine Timing Cover

Description

This felt oil seal is used on the timing covers of the early 948 engines. The later 948s through the 1275 engines used a timing cover with a rubber lip oil seal. The later rubber oil seal and this felt seal are not compatible, so you have to check which you have in your timing cover.

If you have a 1275, 1098, or later 948, you need the rubber timing cover seal.

When replacing this seal, you will need to remove the timing cover, and will therefore need a timing cover gasket.
