One fact about Bugeyes, they don’t come from the factory with a lot of power. This can be a dilemma for some owners who are looking for more pop. There are 2 ways to deal with this, adapt the engine to make more power (which is difficult), or drop weight (less difficult). With this in mind. we have an aluminum flywheel which is considerably lighter than your original steel one. This will make a noticeable difference in engine acceleration, as there is less mass to get moving. If you’re replacing your transmission, clutch, or just want the better acceleration, this is for you!
Also, if you’re installing a larger engine in your Bugeye Sprite, the stock 1275 flywheels are not readily available.
Don’t forget a flywheel lock tab or flywheel bolts!
Select 948 or 1275 engine application.
