It seems that at least 90% of the Sprites that come through our shop have worn steering column bushings. You can tell right away when they are toast-the steering wheel will move vertically when at rest, with annoying play that kills the soul of a nice tight Bugeye.
This kit is the fix. These are the right felt bushings, which we use on all the cars we see. This kit will make your inner steering shaft ride nice and tight inside the steering tube.
This isn’t the bushing set others are selling, but instead the set we have found to fit best and get the job done! Set includes two bushings, enough to rebuild the column on your Bugeye.
NOTE: bushings may need some trimming to fit the lower part of the column.
